Spesification of Hori - Portable PS 3 Slim
Hori, makers of ohmigoshawesome gaming peripherals like this, have come up with a solution to making Sony’s PlayStation 3 portable. The HD monitor you see above is designed to surround the Slim version of the console, and will grant you PS3 gaming on the go for the low price of $264.
I didn’t say it was a very elegant or cheap solution.
Hori’s LCD Monitor HD 3 is an 11.6-inch screen with 1366 x 768 resolution (or 720p – not the PS3’s best output, but HD nonetheless) and built-in speakers. When not in use, the screen can be folded over the PS3. It looks like it would be a joy to lug around on a sticky summer’s day.
If you don’t mind making your trip to work more cumbersome, this is out in Japan on May 27. There are no plans yet for a release outside Japan, but it does work with PS3s from both PAL and NTSC regions, and I suspect the usual import stores will carry it.
