BMW MINI Scooter E Integrated With GPS, Music Player, Bluetooth
BMW has unveiled the MINI Scooter E Concept - which it will be premiering at the Paris Motor Show next month.
The MINI Scooter E Concept is an electric scooter powered by a lithium-ion battery sending current to an electric motor fitted into the rear wheel. Technical details are still few but the Scooter E comes with a charge cable that can be connected to any conventional power socket for easy charging of the battery.
The Scooter E Concept comes in two versions - a two-seater and one designed for a single rider.
Design-wise, the Scooter E Concept takes many cues from the MINI paradigm. The large wheels, 11-inch rims, give the scooter a bulky look, while the headlight unit is also sizable and round and the Scooter E features upright taillights similar to the MINI Countryman.
The Scooter E Concept also features cockpit integration of mobile devices including a Bluetooth connection to a specially-designed helmet from MINI Collection with microphone and headphones that will allow the driver listen to music or talk on the phone.
The 2010 Paris Motor Show will run from October 2 to 17.
